Olivia in London

It has been such a hectic time of late so apologise for lack of posts. Update from just over a week ago, when I spent 48 (fabulous and like the good old days) hours in the company of best friend Olivia Newton John in London.

Here to promote her new album LIV ON along with Amy Sky and Beth Nielson Chapman. They performed at the Union Chapel in Islington and it was such a joyful experience to see three amazing talents in harmony and collaboration.

At the Dorchester Hotel for team meet planning Lasting Life Love Letters our Gala dinner on 22nd November the journey has just begun

Richard Fleeshman, Jack Edwards, Maxwell Caulfield

At the invitation of dear friend Max Caulfield went to see Guys and Dolls at the Bristol Hippodrome.  Show was fabulous and I felt we’d been treated to West End magic here in the South West of England. After an exciting curtain call with the audience all on their feet, Maxwell introduced me to the audience and delivered an emotional speech about Simon and our friendship throughout the years. Huge thank you to the cast and theatre staff for the warm welcome and support for

Performance was stunning and in particular dear friend and superb actress Sian Philips re-visited a role she played as an ingenue, in a scene from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. A night to remember.

Saturday night, the official launch party of Lasting Life‬. Sir Benjamin Slade was our host and the dinner held at his magnificent home Maunsel‬ House in Somerset‬.

It was, for me, the most magical evening shared with many longtime friends and one I will long remember.

I was in London yesterday for Voice Over work and lovely girlfriend Nikki with me. Took her to ‪Fortnum‬ and Masons for ‪afternoon‬ ‪‎tea‬.

The store and tea shop especially has a wonderful traditional feel, as if stepping back in time. Couldn’t help laughing when I looked at photos this morning and saw waiter in background scene stealing our photographic moment. Fabulous !!!

In London this week for fashion show at the Cafe Royal for Fifty Plus London Fashion Week. Great show put on by JD Williams fashion and great afternoon spent catching up with Jo Wood, Lizzie Cundy and Anthea Turner. Love Light and Laughter in the room, just what friends are for

12715779_993688970715352_2176648206925248898_nSuch sad news that dear friend Liz Salmon yesterday lost her long battle with cancer. What an amazing light and energy she had and she will be so sorely missed. Every time we spoke, she was always forward planning and ready for the next challenge and she and loving husband Phil, made the best and most of all moments. The Arabian world has lost another friend who loved and supported our breed, always in such a positive way.

RIP very special lady Liz, missing you already

12509191_949500831765407_1437882217329789619_nFirst week of the month had a meeting at the farm with friend Liz Brewer, founder of “Life after Breast Cancer” and Leonor Stjepic CEO of pioneering RAFT. It would take pages to explain just what this charity has achieved in its 25 years but it is inspirational.

RAFT is going to be the umbrella for the project closest to my heart, the realisation of “Lasting Life” the Simon MacCorkindale Legacy.

Today Liz and I had lunch with Sir Ben Slade at his magnificent Maunsel House in Somerset and he has kindly offered to host a dinner for the launch. There will be so much to share as this journey unfolds and it’s just the beginning…….

Amazing evening last, at The Royal Albert Hall with Olivia and friends for Sir Cliff Richards 75th birthday. He was in fantastic voice and the concert one big celebration from beginning to end. This pic an emotional moment when thousands of balloons fell amongst thousands of fans singing happy birthday to our gorgeous, genuine, oh so talented friend

Sunday just gone we had a great day at the Arabian International Horse Show and my good friend and trainer Troy Smith came over from Dubai to show our horses, which he did to perfection.

He and SG Imagine repeating the most glorious performance and our beautiful boy trotting around the entire arena as if he owned it. Just as he did in 2012 when becoming British National Champion, a magical moment. Picture taken of us and Imagine yesterday, back home at the farm.

Sunday I stole a day away from work and Georgian Arabians stud farm and with my friend Ann took a lengthy drive up the Somerset coast road. The beauty that surrounded us was incredible and a reminder of all our country has to offer. I have always been drawn to the sea and at the end of the day found this very special little place to spend some quiet time.

The place by the sea was Lee bay and here a few more memories of that lovely day. Beginning with a drive across the moor and watching an Exmoor pony mare grazing with her foal at foot.

Dinner last week with friends Cathy and Ed Kangas in from the US for a short stay. We all have friends that through the rush of life we don’t see sometimes for months or even years but when together again, it’s as if it were yesterday.

Friday 31 July, went to L’Ormarins Cup Event at Glorious Goodwood as guest of my lovely friend, Gaynor Rupert. Everyone dressed in her racing colours, blue and white; the luncheon was a picture of her typical style and a fabulous day was had by all.
